The competition uses events being promoted by cycle clubs in East Anglia. Responsibility for safety lies with the rider and the organising club of the individual events. The courses are non dual carriageway wherever possible so the emphasis of the competition is on finishing position rather than super fast times. Ideally the SpoCo East competition would consist only of sporting i.e. hilly and/or technically demanding events promoted on minor roads. However, in order to have a choice of events throughout the region, some which may not be described as sporting have been included.
The scoring system is 120 points for 1st place, 119 for 2nd place and so on down to 1 point.
For seniors, ladies and vets the competition is calculated on the best performances in the following: Best 3 events from Category A Best 4 events from Category B
For Juniors and Juveniles the calculation is made from the Best 2 events from Category A Best 2 events from Category B
Any number of events can be ridden as there is no minimum number of events needed to qualify, however, it is in your interest to ride the maximum number of counting events. Only events ridden after entering will count
